The expose pillar of our strategy describes how developers, enterprise customers, partners, investors and acquirers gain awareness or knowledge of BrowserPod.

Properties

  • Channel: Where target audiences will find BrowserPod (e.g., social media, search, developer communities). Each channel should have:
    • Vision
    • Purpose
    • Objectives
    • Metrics
    • Owner
    • Medium
  • Content:
    • Article
    • Booklet
  • Cadence: Frequency of content publications via channel
  • Segments:
    • Age
    • Education
    • Technographics
    • Gender

Important

Exposure cannot be achieved through heuristic claims or supremacy of personal preference. Exposure is capital. It must be earned or bought. While there will always be a balance and tradeoff to consider between strategic pillars, decisions that compromise exposure in favour of other pillars without a direct relationship to capital are not acceptable for a bootstrapped start up that is serious about scaling.

Meter

Each instance of each property must have its own defined objectives and metrics. Where it fails, it requires ample assessment and remediation.

Notes

  • Leverage of owned channels is unacceptably poor
  • Channels such as Labs are well resourced but poorly rationalised and implemented
